As he went along, he saw a man blind from birth.

His disciples asked him, "Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?"

¿¹¼ö²²¼­ ´ë´äÇÏ½ÃµÇ ÀÌ »ç¶÷À̳ª ±× ºÎ¸ð°¡ Á˸¦ ¹üÇÑ °ÍÀÌ ¾Æ´Ï¶ó ±×¿¡°Ô¼­ Çϳª´ÔÀÇ ÇϽô ÀÏÀ» ³ªÅ¸³»°íÀÚ ÇϽÉÀ̴϶ó

"Neither this man nor his parents sinned," said Jesus, "but this happened so that the work of God might be displayed in his life.

¶§°¡ ¾ÆÁ÷ ³·À̸Š³ª¸¦ º¸³»½Å ÀÌÀÇ ÀÏÀ» ¿ì¸®°¡ ÇÏ¿©¾ß Çϸ®¶ó ¹ãÀÌ ¿À¸®´Ï ±× ¶§´Â ¾Æ¹«µµ ÀÏÇÒ ¼ö ¾ø´À´Ï¶ó

As long as it is day, we must do the work of him who sent me. Night is coming, when no one can work.

While I am in the world, I am the light of the world."

ÀÌ ¸»¾¸À» ÇÏ½Ã°í ¶¥¿¡ ħÀ» ¹ñ¾Æ ÁøÈëÀ» ÀÌ°Ü ±×ÀÇ ´«¿¡ ¹Ù¸£½Ã°í

Having said this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man's eyes.

À̸£½ÃµÇ ½Ç·Î¾Ï ¸ø¿¡ °¡¼­ ¾ÄÀ¸¶ó ÇÏ½Ã´Ï (½Ç·Î¾ÏÀº ¹ø¿ªÇÏ¸é º¸³¿À» ¹Þ¾Ò´Ù´Â ¶æÀ̶ó) ÀÌ¿¡ °¡¼­ ¾Ä°í ¹àÀº ´«À¸·Î ¿Ô´õ¶ó

"Go," he told him, "wash in the Pool of Siloam" (this word means Sent). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing.

His neighbors and those who had formerly seen him begging asked, "Isn't this the same man who used to sit and beg?"

ȤÀº ±× »ç¶÷À̶ó Çϸç ȤÀº ¾Æ´Ï¶ó ±×¿Í ºñ½ÁÇÏ´Ù ÇÏ°Å´Ã Á¦ ¸»Àº ³»°¡ ±×·Î¶ó ÇÏ´Ï

Some claimed that he was. Others said, "No, he only looks like him." But he himself insisted, "I am the man."

ÀúÈñ°¡ ¹¯µÇ ±×·¯¸é ³× ´«ÀÌ ¾î¶»°Ô ¶°Á³´À³Ä

"How then were your eyes opened?" they demanded.

´ë´äÇ쵂 ¿¹¼ö¶ó ÇÏ´Â ±× »ç¶÷ÀÌ ÁøÈëÀ» ÀÌ°Ü ³» ´«¿¡ ¹Ù¸£°í ³ª´õ·¯ ½Ç·Î¾Ï¿¡ °¡¼­ ¾ÄÀ¸¶ó Çϱ⿡ °¡¼­ ¾Ä¾ú´õ´Ï º¸°Ô µÇ¾ú³ë¶ó

He replied, "The man they call Jesus made some mud and put it on my eyes. He told me to go to Siloam and wash. So I went and washed, and then I could see."

ÀúÈñ°¡ °¡·ÎµÇ ±×°¡ ¾îµð ÀÖ´À³Ä °¡·ÎµÇ ¾ËÁö ¸øÇϳë¶ó Çϴ϶ó

"Where is this man?" they asked him. "I don't know," he said.

ÀúÈñ°¡ Àü¿¡ ¼Ò°æ µÇ¾ú´ø »ç¶÷À» µ¥¸®°í ¹Ù¸®»õÀε鿡°Ô °¬´õ¶ó

They brought to the Pharisees the man who had been blind.

¿¹¼ö²²¼­ ÁøÈëÀ» ÀÌ°Ü ´«À» ¶ß°Ô ÇϽŠ³¯Àº ¾È½ÄÀÏÀ̶ó

Now the day on which Jesus had made the mud and opened the man's eyes was a Sabbath.

±×·¯¹Ç·Î ¹Ù¸®»õÀε鵵 ±× ¾î¶»°Ô º¸°Ô µÈ °ÍÀ» ¹°À¸´Ï °¡·ÎµÇ ±× »ç¶÷ÀÌ ÁøÈëÀ» ³» ´«¿¡ ¹Ù¸£¸Å ³»°¡ ¾Ä°í º¸³ªÀÌ´Ù ÇÏ´Ï

Therefore the Pharisees also asked him how he had received his sight. "He put mud on my eyes," the man replied, "and I washed, and now I see."

¹Ù¸®»õÀÎ Áß¿¡ ȤÀº ¸»Ç쵂 ÀÌ »ç¶÷ÀÌ ¾È½ÄÀÏÀ» ÁöÅ°Áö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ´Ï Çϳª´Ô²²·Î¼­ ¿Â ÀÚ°¡ ¾Æ´Ï¶ó Çϸç ȤÀº ¸»Ç쵂 ÁËÀÎÀ¸·Î¼­ ¾î¶»°Ô ÀÌ·¯ÇÑ Ç¥ÀûÀ» ÇàÇÏ°Ú´À³Ä ÇÏ¿© ÇÇÂ÷ Àï·ÐÀÌ µÇ¾ú´õ´Ï

Some of the Pharisees said, "This man is not from God, for he does not keep the Sabbath." But others asked, "How can a sinner do such miraculous signs?" So they were divided.

ÀÌ¿¡ ¼Ò°æ µÇ¾ú´ø ÀÚ¿¡°Ô ´Ù½Ã ¹¯µÇ ±× »ç¶÷ÀÌ ³× ´«À» ¶ß°Ô ÇÏ¿´À¸´Ï ³Ê´Â ±×¸¦ ¾î¶°ÇÑ »ç¶÷À̶ó ÇÏ´À³Ä ´ë´äÇ쵂 ¼±ÁöÀÚ´ÏÀÌ´Ù ÇÑ´ë

Finally they turned again to the blind man, "What have you to say about him? It was your eyes he opened." The man replied, "He is a prophet."

À¯´ëÀεéÀÌ Àú°¡ ¼Ò°æÀ¸·Î ÀÖ´Ù°¡ º¸°Ô µÈ °ÍÀ» ¹ÏÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ°í ±× ºÎ¸ð¸¦ ºÒ·¯ ¹¯µÇ

The Jews still did not believe that he had been blind and had received his sight until they sent for the man's parents.

ÀÌ´Â ³ÊÈñ ¸»¿¡ ¼Ò°æÀ¸·Î ³µ´Ù ÇÏ´Â ³ÊÈñ ¾ÆµéÀÌ³Ä ±×·¯¸é Áö±ÝÀº ¾î¶»°Ô µÇ¾î º¸´À³Ä

"Is this your son?" they asked. "Is this the one you say was born blind? How is it that now he can see?"

±× ºÎ¸ð°¡ ´ë´äÇÏ¿© °¡·ÎµÇ ÀÌ°¡ ¿ì¸® ¾ÆµéÀÎ °Í°ú ¼Ò°æÀ¸·Î ³­ °ÍÀ» ¾Æ³ªÀÌ´Ù

"We know he is our son," the parents answered, "and we know he was born blind.

±×·¯³ª Áö±Ý ¾î¶»°Ô µÇ¾î º¸´ÂÁö ¶Ç´Â ´©°¡ ±× ´«À» ¶ß°Ô ÇÏ¿´´ÂÁö ¿ì¸®´Â ¾ËÁö ¸øÇϳªÀÌ´Ù Àú¿¡°Ô ¹°¾î º¸½Ã¿À Àú°¡ À强ÇÏ¿´À¸´Ï ÀÚ±â ÀÏÀ» ¸»Çϸ®ÀÌ´Ù

But how he can see now, or who opened his eyes, we don't know. Ask him. He is of age; he will speak for himself."

±× ºÎ¸ð°¡ ÀÌ·¸°Ô ¸»ÇÑ °ÍÀº ÀÌ¹Ì À¯´ëÀεéÀÌ ´©±¸µçÁö ¿¹¼ö¸¦ ±×¸®½ºµµ·Î ½ÃÀÎÇÏ´Â ÀÚ´Â Ãâ±³Çϱâ·Î °áÀÇÇÏ¿´À¸¹Ç·Î ÀúÈñ¸¦ ¹«¼­¿öÇÔÀÌ·¯¶ó

His parents said this because they were afraid of the Jews, for already the Jews had decided that anyone who acknowledged that Jesus was the Christ would be put out of the synagogue.

ÀÌ·¯¹Ç·Î ±× ºÎ¸ð°¡ ¸»Çϱ⸦ Àú°¡ À强ÇÏ¿´À¸´Ï Àú¿¡°Ô ¹°¾î º¸½Ã¿À ÇÏ¿´´õ¶ó

That was why his parents said, "He is of age; ask him."

ÀÌ¿¡ ÀúÈñ°¡ ¼Ò°æ µÇ¾ú´ø »ç¶÷À» µÎ¹ø° ºÒ·¯ À̸£µÇ ³Ê´Â ¿µ±¤À» Çϳª´Ô²² µ¹¸®¶ó ¿ì¸®´Â Àú »ç¶÷ÀÌ ÁËÀÎÀÎ ÁÙ ¾Æ³ë¶ó

A second time they summoned the man who had been blind. "Give glory to God," they said. "We know this man is a sinner."

´ë´äÇ쵂 ±×°¡ ÁËÀÎÀÎÁö ³»°¡ ¾ËÁö ¸øÇϳª ÇÑ °¡Áö ¾Æ´Â °ÍÀº ³»°¡ ¼Ò°æÀ¸·Î ÀÖ´Ù°¡ Áö±Ý º¸´Â ±×°ÍÀÌ´ÏÀÌ´Ù

He replied, "Whether he is a sinner or not, I don't know. One thing I do know. I was blind but now I see!"

ÀúÈñ°¡ °¡·ÎµÇ ±× »ç¶÷ÀÌ ³×°Ô ¹«¾ùÀ» ÇÏ¿´´À³Ä ¾î¶»°Ô ³× ´«À» ¶ß°Ô ÇÏ¿´´À³Ä

Then they asked him, "What did he do to you? How did he open your eyes?"

´ë´äÇ쵂 ³»°¡ ÀÌ¹Ì ÀÏ·¶¾îµµ µèÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ°í ¾îÂîÇÏ¿© ´Ù½Ã µè°íÀÚ ÇϳªÀÌ±î ´ç½Åµéµµ ±× Á¦ÀÚ°¡ µÇ·Á ÇϳªÀ̱î

He answered, "I have told you already and you did not listen. Why do you want to hear it again? Do you want to become his disciples, too?"

ÀúÈñ°¡ ¿åÇÏ¿© °¡·ÎµÇ ³Ê´Â ±×ÀÇ Á¦ÀÚ³ª ¿ì¸®´Â ¸ð¼¼ÀÇ Á¦ÀÚ¶ó

Then they hurled insults at him and said, "You are this fellow's disciple! We are disciples of Moses!

Çϳª´ÔÀÌ ¸ð¼¼¿¡°Ô´Â ¸»¾¸ÇϽŠÁÙÀ» ¿ì¸®°¡ ¾Ë°Å´Ï¿Í ÀÌ »ç¶÷Àº ¾îµð¼­ ¿Ô´ÂÁö ¾ËÁö ¸øÇϳë¶ó

We know that God spoke to Moses, but as for this fellow, we don't even know where he comes from."

±× »ç¶÷ÀÌ ´ë´äÇÏ¿© °¡·ÎµÇ ÀÌ»óÇÏ´Ù ÀÌ »ç¶÷ÀÌ ³» ´«À» ¶ß°Ô ÇÏ¿´À¸µÇ ´ç½ÅµéÀÌ ±×°¡ ¾îµð¼­ ¿Ô´ÂÁö ¾ËÁö ¸øÇϴµµ´Ù

The man answered, "Now that is remarkable! You don't know where he comes from, yet he opened my eyes.

Çϳª´ÔÀÌ ÁËÀÎÀ» µèÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ½Ã°í °æ°ÇÇÏ¿© ±×ÀÇ ¶æ´ë·Î ÇàÇÏ´Â ÀÚ´Â µéÀ¸½Ã´Â ÁÙÀ» ¿ì¸®°¡ ¾Æ³ªÀÌ´Ù

We know that God does not listen to sinners. He listens to the godly man who does his will.

â¼¼ ÀÌÈÄ·Î ¼Ò°æÀ¸·Î ³­ ÀÚÀÇ ´«À» ¶ß°Ô ÇÏ¿´´Ù ÇÔÀ» µèÁö ¸øÇÏ¿´À¸´Ï

Nobody has ever heard of opening the eyes of a man born blind.

ÀÌ »ç¶÷ÀÌ Çϳª´Ô²²·ÎºÎÅÍ ¿ÀÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ¿´À¸¸é ¾Æ¹« Àϵµ ÇÒ ¼ö ¾øÀ¸¸®ÀÌ´Ù

If this man were not from God, he could do nothing."

ÀúÈñ°¡ ´ë´äÇÏ¿© °¡·ÎµÇ ³×°¡ ¿ÂÀüÈ÷ ÁË °¡¿îµ¥¼­ ³ª¼­ ¿ì¸®¸¦ °¡¸£Ä¡´À³Ä ÇÏ°í ÀÌ¿¡ ÂѾƳ»¾î º¸³»´Ï¶ó

To this they replied, "You were steeped in sin at birth; how dare you lecture us!" And they threw him out.

Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, and when he found him, he said, "Do you believe in the Son of Man?"

´ë´äÇÏ¿© °¡·ÎµÇ ÁÖ¿© ±×°¡ ´©±¸½Ã¿À´ÏÀÌ±î ³»°¡ ¹Ï°íÀÚ ÇϳªÀÌ´Ù

"Who is he, sir?" the man asked. "Tell me so that I may believe in him."

Jesus said, "You have now seen him; in fact, he is the one speaking with you."

Then the man said, "Lord, I believe," and he worshiped him.

Jesus said, "For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind will see and those who see will become blind."

Some Pharisees who were with him heard him say this and asked, "What? Are we blind too?"

¿¹¼ö²²¼­ °¡¶ó»ç´ë ³ÊÈñ°¡ ¼Ò°æ µÇ¾ú´õ¸é ÁË°¡ ¾øÀ¸·Á´Ï¿Í º»´Ù°í ÇÏ´Ï ³ÊÈñ ÁË°¡ ±×Àú ÀÖ´À´Ï¶ó

Jesus said, "If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin; but now that you claim you can see, your guilt remains.
