À¯¿ùÀý Àü¿¡ ¿¹¼ö²²¼­ ÀڱⰡ ¼¼»óÀ» ¶°³ª ¾Æ¹öÁö²²·Î µ¹¾Æ°¡½Ç ¶§°¡ À̸¥ ÁÙ ¾Æ½Ã°í ¼¼»ó¿¡ ÀÖ´Â Àڱ⠻ç¶÷µéÀ» »ç¶ûÇÏ½ÃµÇ ³¡±îÁö »ç¶ûÇϽô϶ó

It was just before the Passover Feast. Jesus knew that the time had come for him to leave this world and go to the Father. Having loved his own who were in the world, he now showed them the full extent of his love.

¸¶±Í°¡ ¹ú½á ½Ã¸óÀÇ ¾Æµé °¡·å À¯´ÙÀÇ ¸¶À½¿¡ ¿¹¼ö¸¦ ÆÈ·Á´Â »ý°¢À» ³Ö¾ú´õ´Ï

The evening meal was being served, and the devil had already prompted Judas Iscariot, son of Simon, to betray Jesus.

Àú³á ¸Ô´Â Áß ¿¹¼ö´Â ¾Æ¹öÁö²²¼­ ¸ðµç °ÍÀ» Àڱ⠼տ¡ ¸Ã±â½Å °Í°ú ¶Ç ÀڱⰡ Çϳª´Ô²²·ÎºÎÅÍ ¿À¼Ì´Ù°¡ Çϳª´Ô²²·Î µ¹¾Æ°¡½Ç °ÍÀ» ¾Æ½Ã°í

Jesus knew that the Father had put all things under his power, and that he had come from God and was returning to God;

Àú³á Àâ¼ö½Ã´ø ÀÚ¸®¿¡¼­ ÀϾ °Ñ¿ÊÀ» ¹þ°í ¼ö°ÇÀ» °¡Á®´Ù°¡ Ç㸮¿¡ µÎ¸£½Ã°í

so he got up from the meal, took off his outer clothing, and wrapped a towel around his waist.

ÀÌ¿¡ ´ë¾ß¿¡ ¹°À» ´ã¾Æ Á¦ÀÚµéÀÇ ¹ßÀ» ¾Ä±â½Ã°í ±× µÎ¸£½Å ¼ö°ÇÀ¸·Î ¾Ä±â±â¸¦ ½ÃÀÛÇÏ¿©

After that, he poured water into a basin and began to wash his disciples' feet, drying them with the towel that was wrapped around him.

½Ã¸ó º£µå·Î¿¡°Ô À̸£½Ã´Ï °¡·ÎµÇ ÁÖ¿© ÁÖ²²¼­ ³» ¹ßÀ» ¾Ä±â½Ã³ªÀ̱î

He came to Simon Peter, who said to him, "Lord, are you going to wash my feet?"

¿¹¼ö²²¼­ ´ë´äÇÏ¿© °¡¶ó»ç´ë ³ªÀÇ ÇÏ´Â °ÍÀ» ³×°¡ ÀÌÁ¦´Â ¾ËÁö ¸øÇϳª ÀÌ ÈÄ¿¡´Â ¾Ë¸®¶ó

Jesus replied, "You do not realize now what I am doing, but later you will understand."

º£µå·Î°¡ °¡·ÎµÇ ³» ¹ßÀ» Àý´ë·Î ¾Ä±âÁö ¸øÇϽø®ÀÌ´Ù ¿¹¼ö²²¼­ ´ë´äÇÏ½ÃµÇ ³»°¡ ³Ê¸¦ ¾Ä±âÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ¸é ³×°¡ ³ª¿Í »ó°üÀÌ ¾ø´À´Ï¶ó

"No," said Peter, "you shall never wash my feet." Jesus answered, "Unless I wash you, you have no part with me."

½Ã¸ó º£µå·Î°¡ °¡·ÎµÇ ÁÖ¿© ³» ¹ß»Ó ¾Æ´Ï¶ó ¼Õ°ú ¸Ó¸®µµ ¾Ä°Ü ÁֿɼҼ­

"Then, Lord," Simon Peter replied, "not just my feet but my hands and my head as well!"

¿¹¼ö²²¼­ °¡¶ó»ç´ë ÀÌ¹Ì ¸ñ¿åÇÑ ÀÚ´Â ¹ß¹Û¿¡ ¾ÄÀ» ÇÊ¿ä°¡ ¾ø´À´Ï¶ó ¿Â ¸öÀÌ ±ú²ýÇϴ϶ó ³ÊÈñ°¡ ±ú²ýÇϳª ´Ù´Â ¾Æ´Ï´Ï¶ó ÇϽôÏ

Jesus answered, "A person who has had a bath needs only to wash his feet; his whole body is clean. And you are clean, though not every one of you."

ÀÌ´Â Àڱ⸦ ÆÈ ÀÚ°¡ ´©±¸ÀÎÁö ¾Æ½ÉÀ̶ó ±×·¯¹Ç·Î ´Ù´Â ±ú²ýÁö ¾Æ´ÏÇÏ´Ù ÇϽô϶ó

For he knew who was going to betray him, and that was why he said not every one was clean.

ÀúÈñ ¹ßÀ» ¾Ä±â½Å ÈÄ¿¡ ¿ÊÀ» ÀÔÀ¸½Ã°í ´Ù½Ã ¾É¾Æ ÀúÈñ¿¡°Ô À̸£½ÃµÇ ³»°¡ ³ÊÈñ¿¡°Ô ÇàÇÑ °ÍÀ» ³ÊÈñ°¡ ¾Æ´À³Ä

When he had finished washing their feet, he put on his clothes and returned to his place. "Do you understand what I have done for you?" he asked them.

³ÊÈñ°¡ ³ª¸¦ ¼±»ýÀ̶ó ¶Ç´Â ÁÖ¶ó ÇÏ´Ï ³ÊÈñ ¸»ÀÌ ¿Çµµ´Ù ³»°¡ ±×·¯ÇÏ´Ù

"You call me 'Teacher' and 'Lord,' and rightly so, for that is what I am.

³»°¡ ÁÖ¿Í ¶Ç´Â ¼±»ýÀÌ µÇ¾î ³ÊÈñ ¹ßÀ» ¾Ä°åÀ¸´Ï ³ÊÈñµµ ¼­·Î ¹ßÀ» ¾Ä±â´Â °ÍÀÌ ¿ÇÀ¸´Ï¶ó

Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another's feet.

³»°¡ ³ÊÈñ¿¡°Ô ÇàÇÑ °Í °°ÀÌ ³ÊÈñµµ ÇàÇÏ°Ô ÇÏ·Á ÇÏ¿© º»À» º¸¿´³ë¶ó

I have set you an example that you should do as I have done for you.

³»°¡ Áø½Ç·Î Áø½Ç·Î ³ÊÈñ¿¡°Ô À̸£³ë´Ï Á¾ÀÌ »óÀüº¸´Ù Å©Áö ¸øÇÏ°í º¸³¿À» ¹ÞÀº ÀÚ°¡ º¸³½ ÀÚº¸´Ù Å©Áö ¸øÇÏ´Ï

I tell you the truth, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him.

³ÊÈñ°¡ ÀÌ°ÍÀ» ¾Ë°í ÇàÇÏ¸é º¹ÀÌ ÀÖÀ¸¸®¶ó

Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.

³»°¡ ³ÊÈñ¸¦ ´Ù °¡¸®ÄÑ ¸»ÇÏ´Â °ÍÀÌ ¾Æ´Ï¶ó ³»°¡ ³ªÀÇ ÅÃÇÑ ÀÚµéÀÌ ´©±¸ÀÎÁö ¾ÍÀ̶ó ±×·¯³ª ³» ¶±À» ¸Ô´Â ÀÚ°¡ ³»°Ô ¹ß²ÞÄ¡¸¦ µé¾ú´Ù ÇÑ ¼º°æÀ» ÀÀÇÏ°Ô ÇÏ·Á´Â °ÍÀ̴϶ó

"I am not referring to all of you; I know those I have chosen. But this is to fulfill the scripture: 'He who shares my bread has lifted up his heel against me.'

Áö±ÝºÎÅÍ ÀÏÀÌ ÀÌ·ç±â Àü¿¡ ¹Ì¸® ³ÊÈñ¿¡°Ô À̸§Àº ÀÏÀÌ ÀÌ·ê ¶§¿¡ ³»°¡ ±×ÀÎ ÁÙ ³ÊÈñ·Î ¹Ï°Ô ÇÏ·Á ÇÔÀ̷ζó

"I am telling you now before it happens, so that when it does happen you will believe that I am He.

³»°¡ Áø½Ç·Î Áø½Ç·Î ³ÊÈñ¿¡°Ô À̸£³ë´Ï ³ªÀÇ º¸³½ ÀÚ¸¦ ¿µÁ¢ÇÏ´Â ÀÚ´Â ³ª¸¦ ¿µÁ¢ÇÏ´Â °ÍÀÌ¿ä ³ª¸¦ ¿µÁ¢ÇÏ´Â ÀÚ´Â ³ª¸¦ º¸³»½Å À̸¦ ¿µÁ¢ÇÏ´Â °ÍÀ̴϶ó

I tell you the truth, whoever accepts anyone I send accepts me; and whoever accepts me accepts the one who sent me."

¿¹¼ö²²¼­ ÀÌ ¸»¾¸À» ÇÏ½Ã°í ½É·É¿¡ ¹Î¸ÁÇÏ¿© Áõ°ÅÇÏ¿© °¡¶ó»ç´ë ³»°¡ Áø½Ç·Î Áø½Ç·Î ³ÊÈñ¿¡°Ô À̸£³ë´Ï ³ÊÈñ Áß Çϳª°¡ ³ª¸¦ Æȸ®¶ó ÇϽôÏ

After he had said this, Jesus was troubled in spirit and testified, "I tell you the truth, one of you is going to betray me."

His disciples stared at one another, at a loss to know which of them he meant.

¿¹¼öÀÇ Á¦ÀÚ Áß Çϳª °ð ±×ÀÇ »ç¶ûÇϽô ÀÚ°¡ ¿¹¼öÀÇ Ç°¿¡ ÀÇÁöÇÏ¿© ´©¿ü´ÂÁö¶ó

One of them, the disciple whom Jesus loved, was reclining next to him.

½Ã¸ó º£µå·Î°¡ ¸Ó¸´ÁþÀ» ÇÏ¿© ¸»Ç쵂 ¸»¾¸ÇϽŠÀÚ°¡ ´©±¸ÀÎÁö ¸»Ç϶ó ÇÑ´ë

Simon Peter motioned to this disciple and said, "Ask him which one he means."

±×°¡ ¿¹¼öÀÇ °¡½¿¿¡ ±×´ë·Î ÀÇÁöÇÏ¿© ¸»Ç쵂 ÁÖ¿© ´©±¸¿À´ÏÀ̱î

Leaning back against Jesus, he asked him, "Lord, who is it?"

¿¹¼ö²²¼­ ´ë´äÇÏ½ÃµÇ ³»°¡ ÇÑ Á¶°¢À» Âï¾î´Ù°¡ ÁÖ´Â ÀÚ°¡ ±×´Ï¶ó ÇÏ½Ã°í °ð ÇÑ Á¶°¢À» ÂïÀ¸¼Å´Ù°¡ °¡·å ½Ã¸óÀÇ ¾Æµé À¯´Ù¸¦ ÁֽôÏ

Jesus answered, "It is the one to whom I will give this piece of bread when I have dipped it in the dish." Then, dipping the piece of bread, he gave it to Judas Iscariot, son of Simon.

Á¶°¢À» ¹ÞÀº ÈÄ °ð »ç´ÜÀÌ ±× ¼Ó¿¡ µé¾î°£Áö¶ó ÀÌ¿¡ ¿¹¼ö²²¼­ À¯´Ù¿¡°Ô À̸£½ÃµÇ ³× ÇÏ´Â ÀÏÀ» ¼ÓÈ÷ Ç϶ó ÇϽôÏ

As soon as Judas took the bread, Satan entered into him. "What you are about to do, do quickly," Jesus told him,

ÀÌ ¸»¾¸À» ¹«½¼ ¶æÀ¸·Î Çϼ̴ÂÁö ±× ¾ÉÀº ÀÚ Áß¿¡ ¾Æ´Â ÀÌ°¡ ¾ø°í

but no one at the meal understood why Jesus said this to him.

¾î¶² À̵éÀº À¯´Ù°¡ µ· ±Ë¸¦ ¸Ã¾ÒÀ¸¹Ç·Î ¸íÀý¿¡ ¿ì¸®ÀÇ ¾µ ¹°°ÇÀ» »ç¶ó ÇϽôÂÁö Ȥ °¡³­ÇÑ Àڵ鿡°Ô ¹«¾ùÀ» ÁÖ¶ó ÇϽô ÁÙ·Î »ý°¢ÇÏ´õ¶ó

Since Judas had charge of the money, some thought Jesus was telling him to buy what was needed for the Feast, or to give something to the poor.

À¯´Ù°¡ ±× Á¶°¢À» ¹Þ°í °ð ³ª°¡´Ï ¹ãÀÌ·¯¶ó

As soon as Judas had taken the bread, he went out. And it was night.

Àú°¡ ³ª°£ ÈÄ¿¡ ¿¹¼ö²²¼­ °¡¶ó»ç´ë Áö±Ý ÀÎÀÚ°¡ ¿µ±¤À» ¾ò¾ú°í Çϳª´Ôµµ ÀÎÀÚ¸¦ ÀÎÇÏ¿© ¿µ±¤À» ¾òÀ¸¼Ìµµ´Ù

When he was gone, Jesus said, "Now is the Son of Man glorified and God is glorified in him.

¸¸ÀÏ Çϳª´ÔÀÌ Àú·Î ÀÎÇÏ¿© ¿µ±¤À» ¾òÀ¸¼ÌÀ¸¸é Çϳª´Ôµµ ÀÚ±â·Î ÀÎÇÏ¿© Àú¿¡°Ô ¿µ±¤À» Áֽø®´Ï °ð Áֽø®¶ó

If God is glorified in him, God will glorify the Son in himself, and will glorify him at once.

¼ÒÀÚµé¾Æ ³»°¡ ¾ÆÁ÷ Àá½Ã ³ÊÈñ¿Í ÇÔ²² ÀÖ°Ú³ë¶ó ³ÊÈñ°¡ ³ª¸¦ ãÀ» ÅÍÀ̳ª ±×·¯³ª ÀÏÂï ³»°¡ À¯´ëÀε鿡°Ô ³ÊÈñ´Â ³ªÀÇ °¡´Â °÷¿¡ ¿Ã ¼ö ¾ø´Ù°í ¸»ÇÑ °Í°ú °°ÀÌ Áö±Ý ³ÊÈñ¿¡°Ôµµ À̸£³ë¶ó

"My children, I will be with you only a little longer. You will look for me, and just as I told the Jews, so I tell you now: Where I am going, you cannot come.

»õ °è¸íÀ» ³ÊÈñ¿¡°Ô ÁÖ³ë´Ï ¼­·Î »ç¶ûÇÏ¶ó ³»°¡ ³ÊÈñ¸¦ »ç¶ûÇÑ °Í °°ÀÌ ³ÊÈñµµ ¼­·Î »ç¶ûÇ϶ó

"A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another.

³ÊÈñ°¡ ¼­·Î »ç¶ûÇϸé ÀÌ·Î½á ¸ðµç »ç¶÷ÀÌ ³ÊÈñ°¡ ³» Á¦ÀÚÀÎ ÁÙ ¾Ë¸®¶ó

By this all men will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another."

½Ã¸ó º£µå·Î°¡ °¡·ÎµÇ ÁÖ¿© ¾îµð·Î °¡½Ã³ªÀÌ±î ¿¹¼ö²²¼­ ´ë´äÇÏ½ÃµÇ ³ªÀÇ °¡´Â °÷¿¡ ³×°¡ Áö±ÝÀº µû¶ó¿Ã ¼ö ¾øÀ¸³ª ÈÄ¿¡´Â µû¶ó ¿À¸®¶ó

Simon Peter asked him, "Lord, where are you going?" Jesus replied, "Where I am going, you cannot follow now, but you will follow later."

Peter asked, "Lord, why can't I follow you now? I will lay down my life for you."

¿¹¼ö²²¼­ ´ë´äÇÏ½ÃµÇ ³×°¡ ³ª¸¦ À§ÇÏ¿© ³× ¸ñ¼ûÀ» ¹ö¸®°Ú´À³Ä ³»°¡ Áø½Ç·Î Áø½Ç·Î ³×°Ô À̸£³ë´Ï ´ß ¿ï±â Àü¿¡ ³×°¡ ¼¼ ¹ø ³ª¸¦ ºÎÀÎÇϸ®¶ó

Then Jesus answered, "Will you really lay down your life for me? I tell you the truth, before the rooster crows, you will disown me three times!
