如此說來ã€æˆ‘們的祖宗亞伯拉罕ã€æ†‘著肉體得了甚麼呢。

What then shall we say that Abraham, our forefather, discovered in this matter?

倘若亞伯拉罕是因行為稱義ã€å°±æœ‰å¯èª‡çš„.åªæ˜¯åœ¨ã€€ç¥žé¢å‰ä¸¦ç„¡å¯èª‡ã€‚

If, in fact, Abraham was justified by works, he had something to boast about--but not before God.

經上說甚麼呢.說ã€ã€Žäºžä¼¯æ‹‰ç½•ä¿¡ã€€ç¥žã€é€™å°±ç®—為他的義。ã€

What does the Scripture say? "Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness."

作工的得工價ã€ä¸ç®—æ©å…¸ã€ä¹ƒæ˜¯è©²å¾—çš„ã€

Now when a man works, his wages are not credited to him as a gift, but as an obligation.

惟有ä¸ä½œå·¥çš„ã€åªä¿¡ç¨±ç½ªäººç‚ºç¾©çš„ 神ã€ä»–的信就算為義。

However, to the man who does not work but trusts God who justifies the wicked, his faith is credited as righteousness.

正如大衛稱那在行為以外ã€è’™ã€€ç¥žç®—為義的人是有ç¦çš„。

David says the same thing when he speaks of the blessedness of the man to whom God credits righteousness apart from works:

他說ã€ã€Žå¾—赦å…å…¶éŽã€é®è“‹å…¶ç½ªçš„ã€é€™äººæ˜¯æœ‰ç¦çš„。

"Blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered.

主ä¸ç®—為有罪的ã€é€™äººæ˜¯æœ‰ç¦çš„。ã€

Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will never count against him."

如此看來ã€é€™ç¦æ˜¯å–®åŠ çµ¦é‚£å—割禮的人麼.ä¸ä¹Ÿæ˜¯åŠ çµ¦é‚£æœªå—割禮的人麼.因我們所說ã€äºžä¼¯æ‹‰ç½•çš„ä¿¡ã€å°±ç®—為他的義。

Is this blessedness only for the circumcised, or also for the uncircumcised? We have been saying that Abraham's faith was credited to him as righteousness.

是怎麼算的呢.是在他å—割禮的時候呢.是在他未å—割禮的時候呢.ä¸æ˜¯åœ¨å—割禮的時候ã€ä¹ƒæ˜¯åœ¨æœªå—割禮的時候。

Under what circumstances was it credited? Was it after he was circumcised, or before? It was not after, but before!

並且他å—了割禮的記號ã€ä½œä»–未å—割禮的時候因信稱義的å°è­‰ã€å«ä»–作一切未å—割禮而信之人的父ã€ä½¿ä»–們也算為義.

And he received the sign of circumcision, a seal of the righteousness that he had by faith while he was still uncircumcised. So then, he is the father of all who believe but have not been circumcised, in order that righteousness might be credited to them.

åˆä½œå—割禮之人的父ã€å°±æ˜¯é‚£äº›ä¸ä½†å—割禮ã€ä¸¦ä¸”按我們的祖宗亞伯拉罕ã€æœªå—割禮而信之蹤跡去行的人。

And he is also the father of the circumcised who not only are circumcised but who also walk in the footsteps of the faith that our father Abraham had before he was circumcised.

因為 神應許亞伯拉罕和他後裔ã€å¿…得承å—世界ã€ä¸æ˜¯å› å¾‹æ³•ã€ä¹ƒæ˜¯å› ä¿¡è€Œå¾—的義。

It was not through law that Abraham and his offspring received the promise that he would be heir of the world, but through the righteousness that comes by faith.

若是屬乎律法的人ã€çº”得為後嗣ã€ä¿¡å°±æ­¸æ–¼è™›ç©ºã€æ‡‰è¨±ä¹Ÿå°±å»¢æ£„了。

For if those who live by law are heirs, faith has no value and the promise is worthless,

因為律法是惹動忿怒的.〔或作å«äººå—刑的〕那裡沒有律法ã€é‚£è£¡å°±æ²’有éŽçŠ¯ã€‚

because law brings wrath. And where there is no law there is no transgression.

所以人得為後嗣是本乎信.因此就屬乎æ©ï¼Žå«æ‡‰è¨±å®šç„¶æ­¸çµ¦ä¸€åˆ‡å¾Œè£”.ä¸ä½†æ­¸çµ¦é‚£å±¬ä¹Žå¾‹æ³•çš„ã€ä¹Ÿæ­¸çµ¦é‚£æ•ˆæ³•äºžä¼¯æ‹‰ç½•ä¹‹ä¿¡çš„。

Therefore, the promise comes by faith, so that it may be by grace and may be guaranteed to all Abraham's offspring--not only to those who are of the law but also to those who are of the faith of Abraham. He is the father of us all.

亞伯拉罕所信的ã€æ˜¯é‚£å«æ­»äººå¾©æ´»ä½¿ç„¡è®Šç‚ºæœ‰çš„ 神ã€ä»–在主é¢å‰ä½œæˆ‘們世人的父.如經上所記ã€ã€Žæˆ‘已經立你作多國的父。ã€

As it is written: "I have made you a father of many nations." He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed--the God who gives life to the dead and calls things that are not as though they were.

他在無å¯æŒ‡æœ›çš„時候ã€å› ä¿¡ä»æœ‰æŒ‡æœ›ã€å°±å¾—以作多國的父ã€æ­£å¦‚å…ˆå‰æ‰€èªªã€ã€Žä½ çš„後裔將è¦å¦‚此。ã€

Against all hope, Abraham in hope believed and so became the father of many nations, just as it had been said to him, "So shall your offspring be."

他將近百歲的時候ã€é›–然想到自己的身體如åŒå·²æ­»ã€æ’’拉的生育已經斷絕ã€ä»–的信心還是ä¸è»Ÿå¼±ï¼Ž

Without weakening in his faith, he faced the fact that his body was as good as dead--since he was about a hundred years old--and that Sarah's womb was also dead.

並且仰望 神的應許ã€ç¸½æ²’有因ä¸ä¿¡ã€å¿ƒè£¡èµ·ç–‘惑.å倒因信ã€å¿ƒè£¡å¾—堅固ã€å°‡æ¦®è€€æ­¸çµ¦ã€€ç¥žã€‚

Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God,

且滿心相信ã€ã€€ç¥žæ‰€æ‡‰è¨±çš„必能作æˆï¼Ž

being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.

所以這就算為他的義。

This is why "it was credited to him as righteousness."

算為他義的這å¥è©±ã€ä¸æ˜¯å–®ç‚ºä»–寫的ã€

The words "it was credited to him" were written not for him alone,

也是為我們將來得算為義之人寫的.就是我們這信 神使我們的主耶穌從死裡復活的人。

but also for us, to whom God will credit righteousness--for us who believe in him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead.

耶穌被交給人ã€æ˜¯ç‚ºæˆ‘們的éŽçŠ¯ã€å¾©æ´»ã€æ˜¯ç‚ºå«æˆ‘們稱義。〔或作耶穌是我們的éŽçŠ¯äº¤ä»˜äº†æ˜¯ç‚ºæˆ‘們稱義復活了〕

He was delivered over to death for our sins and was raised to life for our justification.
