1 书亚人比勒达回答说, Then Bildad the Shuhite replied: |
2 你寻索言语要到几时呢?你可以揣摩思想,然后我们就说话。 "When will you end these speeches? Be sensible, and then we can talk. |
3 我们为何算为畜生,在你眼中看作污秽呢? Why are we regarded as cattle and considered stupid in your sight? |
4 你这恼怒将自己撕裂的,难道大地为你见弃,磐石挪开原处吗? You who tear yourself to pieces in your anger, is the earth to be abandoned for your sake? Or must the rocks be moved from their place? |
5 恶人的亮光必要熄灭。他的火焰必不照耀。 "The lamp of the wicked is snuffed out; the flame of his fire stops burning. |
6 他帐棚中的亮光要变为黑暗。他以上的灯也必熄灭。 The light in his tent becomes dark; the lamp beside him goes out. |
7 他坚强的脚步必见狭窄。自己的计谋必将他绊倒。 The vigor of his step is weakened; his own schemes throw him down. |
8 因为他被自己的脚陷入网中,走在缠人的网罗上。 His feet thrust him into a net and he wanders into its mesh. |
9 圈套必抓住他的脚跟。机关必擒获他。 A trap seizes him by the heel; a snare holds him fast. |
10 活扣为他藏在土内。羁绊为他藏在路上。 A noose is hidden for him on the ground; a trap lies in his path. |
11 四面的惊吓要使他害怕,并且追赶他的脚跟。 Terrors startle him on every side and dog his every step. |
12 他的力量必因饥饿衰败,祸患要在他旁边等候。 Calamity is hungry for him; disaster is ready for him when he falls. |
13 他本身的肢体要被吞吃,死亡的长子要吞吃他的肢体。 It eats away parts of his skin; death's firstborn devours his limbs. |
14 他要从所倚靠的帐棚被拔出来,带到惊吓的王那里。 He is torn from the security of his tent and marched off to the king of terrors. |
15 不属他的必住在他的帐棚里。硫磺必撒在他所住之处。 Fire resides in his tent; burning sulfur is scattered over his dwelling. |
16 下边,他的根本要枯干。上边,他的枝子要剪除。 His roots dry up below and his branches wither above. |
17 他的记念在地上必然灭亡。他的名字在街上也不存留。 The memory of him perishes from the earth; he has no name in the land. |
18 他必从光明中被撵到黑暗里,必被赶出世界。 He is driven from light into darkness and is banished from the world. |
19 在本民中必无子无孙。在寄居之地也无一人存留。 He has no offspring or descendants among his people, no survivor where once he lived. |
20 以后来的要惊奇他的日子,好像以前去的受了惊骇。 Men of the west are appalled at his fate; men of the east are seized with horror. |
21 不义之人的住处总是这样。此乃不认识神之人的地步。 Surely such is the dwelling of an evil man; such is the place of one who knows not God." |
